MJF Defending Dynamite Diamond Ring On October 25th AEW Dynamite
MJF is the AEW World Champion who also has to defend his Dynamite Diamond Ring on Dynamite in Philadelphia.
In the main event of AEW Dynamite on October 18th, there was a Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale. The winner of the match featuring 12 wrestlers would earn a shot MJF, but not for his World Title. Instead, they would get a shot to win the Dynamite Diamond Ring that Max held for for the last four years.
The Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale was won by Juice Robinson, who last eliminated Max Caster. MJF was on commentary, but he was attacked by Jay White near the end of the match. MJF and White fought on the stage with Jay hitting a low blow.
Since Caster is friends with MJF, he was distracted by what was happening. Juice hit Caster with a lefty punch while wearing a ring on his middle finger. Juice tossed out Caster to win.
The first year MJF won the Dynamite Diamond Ring was in November 2019. From 2020 to 2022, it was held in December with MJF finding ways to retain the ring, which he has held for four years.
MJF will also defend the AEW World Title at Full Gear
There is one match that is official for the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view on November 18th in Los Angeles: MJF defending the AEW World Title against Jay White.
That’s the same Jay White who stole the AEW World Title from MJF and hasn’t given it back yet. White has said he would give Max the World Title back if Max can find three partners to beat Bullet Club Gold in an eight-man tag team match. That eight-man tag team match has yet to be made official.
For now, MJF’s focus will be on beating Juice Robinson to keep the Dynamite Diamond Ring for another year. Keep in mind that MJF has also said that his contract is up in January 2024 and he has teased signing with WWE as well. It’s also possible that MJF could have re-signed with AEW and we don’t know it yet.
