MJF Doesn’t Understand Fan Upset Over WWE & AEW Digs
John Cena took a jab at AEW on WWE Raw in the latest barb between the two companies but MJF doesn’t get why anybody gets upset about these things.
Since Triple H stood at the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame and referred to AEW as a “pissant company” to Billy Gunn’s face, there has been no shortage of shade thrown by both sides across wrestling’s great divide.
No different from how WWE and WCW famously took more than just jabs at each other back during the Monday Night Wars, this era of social media seems to have fans clutching their pearls whenever one of these new shots happen and MJF just doesn’t get it.
MJF Doesn’t Get Wrestling Fans Upset
Taking to social media, MJF expressed his views on the matter and thinks if fans can’t handle jabs between the two and want to be treated like children then they might be better served by Vince McMahon starting a new promotion:
I truly don’t get why fans get up in arms when WWE mentions or references AEW. Or when AEW mentions or references WWE. If you want to be treated like children, watch Elmo. Or better yet. Tell VKM to start a new promotion.

MJF’s comments come after John Cena made a thinly veiled reference to AEW boss Tony Khan on Raw. While standing across from Cody Rhodes, Cena told the WWE Champion that he built empires for billionaires whereas Rhodes stole money from billionaire’s sons.
