Missing WWE Star Ready To Stand Alone
Omos believes he can stand on his own as a performer when he makes his WWE comeback.
Omos has been missing in action since competing in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the SmackDown before WrestleMania 40. The last time he took part in a singles match was in May 2023, when Seth Rollins defeated Nigerian Giant at Backlash.
Earlier in 2024, it was reported that WWE seemed to have given up on Omos, but the colossal star is ready to return. During an appearance on The Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast in a Patreon-only Q&A, Omos explained how he has evolved as a character and what he learned from teaming with AJ Styles and MVP.
“I think it’s evolved a lot. I started off as AJ’s heater and then went on to do my own thing. Then I got a manager with MVP. He was kind of like my Bobby Heenan in that type of way.
“I think now I’m ready to be on my own and stand as a performer by myself. I’ve learned so much from both of them. With AJ it was figuring out the basics as a performer, knowing how to be a giant. Then MVP was like understanding how to have presents in the ring and just the little things differentiates, for example knowing how to sell in a way that doesn’t feel robotic.
“MVP pointed out to me like, ‘Hey, you want to make it feel more natural when you sell,’ just the little intangibles. I’m giving me the mic, he’ll cut his promo as a heel, and then he would give me the mic, like, ‘Finish it off.’
“Getting the comfort of speaking out in front of the crowd. All the house shows that I did last year, I think that actually helped me a lot in my growth and I think going forward, I am ready for whatever is thrown at me.”
Bobby Lashley Reveals WWE Stars Wanted Omos Fired
During a recent interview, Bobby Lashley claimed that there were some WWE stars who tried to get Omos sacked. According to The All Mighty, there were “a couple of people” who would yell at the giant star and try to make him look bad. On the other hand, Lashley wanted to work with him as he saw the size difference as an obstacle to overcome.
