Missing WWE Star Pulled From Active Roster

Questions were raised over the future of one WWE star after they were moved from the active roster but it seems another issue is behind the situation.

PWInsider reported that Kiana James has been moved from WWE’s internal active roster. The result of the move is due to James suffering a leg injury that will see her missing for over six months. For now, Kiana James is on the miscellaneous roster but still appears on WWE’s roster page on its website as before.

Who Is WWE Star Kiana James?

Kiana James joined WWE in 2022 after making several appearances in AEW the prior year. James became part of the NXT roster and won her first gold in the company in February 2023 when she teamed with Fallon Henley to defeat Kayden Carter and Katana Chance for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship. That title success only lasted 56 days, however, before the pair lost the gold to Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn.

In the 2024 WWE Draft, Kiana James was drafted to Raw from NXT marking her first move to the main roster. James only competed twice on the red brand before disappearing from WWE TV but her first outing on Raw saw her defeat veteran star Natalya.

That match between Natalya and James was also Natalya’s last on Raw before she made her return to the show in her home city of Calgary as questions about her own future in WWE have been put to bed.
