A long-term WWE absentee is nearing a return to the ring.

Raquel Rodriguez has been missing from WWE television since February. In fact, the former NXT Women’s Champion has wrestled just three times since December 3rd, 2023 after being diagnosed with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS).

The illness caused Rodriguez to miss the first part of the year although she made a brief return around Elimination Chamber.

In the days after the show, Raquel Rodriguez revealed she almost missed the event after her condition flared up. The issue meant she was unable to properly prepare for the match and was forced to sit out a run-through.

Raquel Rodriguez To Make WWE Return Soon

However, things are finally looking a little more positive. In a recent post on Instagram, the star revealed she was in Therma, Florida, at the Alliance Regenerative Center to get bloodwork done, adding that her treatment plan is going well.

This was followed by a post from Natalya showing Rodriguez working out in the ring.

It’s now been reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the star expected to return to WWE soon.

On her Instagram Stories yesterday, Natalya shared a video of Raquel Rodriguez training in the ring. Rodriguez has been out of action since February dealing with MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome) but is expected back soon.

Back in July, it was reported there had been talk within WWE about Raquel Rodriguez returning “in the near future.”
