Missing WWE Champion Promises Return
An absent WWE Champion has confirmed his imminent return.
Despite being the current WWE Speed Champion, Dragon Lee has been out of action since December 2024 after suffering a loss to Pete Dunne on Main Event. While he was quiet about his absence for some time, the LWO star recently revealed that he had taken time off as he waited for the birth of his second daughter. At the time, Lee vowed that he would come back stronger and ready to give his best.
In his absence, WWE has been holding a tournament to determine the next challenger for Lee’s Speed title. On January 24th, Chad Gable defeated Chris Sabin to become the Number 1 Contender and was quick to send a message to Lee, warning him that he would use everything he’s learned about the “dark arts” of Lucha Libre to win his title.
Lee responded to the video, revealing that he will be back as soon as next week to put the gold on the line.
“Time to come back .!
Congrats @WWEGable I’ll see you next week.. Time to “Lucha Libre””
