Missing AEW Star Spotted At WWE NXT

Cody Rhodes might have been the star of the show at WWE NXT but it seems a former colleague of his who is still with AEW was also backstage.

WWE Champion Cody Rhodes appeared on NXT to tell NXT Champion Trick Williams how his next challenger will be decided. The 18th of June edition of the show will feature a 25-man battle royal with the winner going on to challenge Williams for the NXT Championship.

Cody Rhodes was also part of an AEW reunion on the show as he ran into some old faces backstage as Shawn Spears, Ethan Page, and Lexis King all vowed to be the one to win the battle royal and face Williams.

Absent AEW Star Attends WWE NXT

Fightful Select has now reported that Rebel was also backstage at the show. There was no indication why she was there but it was confirmed that she is still under contract to AEW.

Rebel has not been seen in Tony Khan’s company since 2022 with her last match for the promotion coming in August of that year. She is best known for her association with Dr. Britt Baker DMD with the two of them forming a popular partnership that led to Baker winning the AEW Women’s Championship in May 2021.
