Missing AEW Star Persona Non Grata In The Company
It seems one AEW star can’t even confirm if they’re with the company with suggestions that they are persona non grata.
As AEW Revolution took place in Los Angeles the stars were out in force including many of those who feature in the wrestling-inspired movie Queen of the Ring. These stars were featured on the Zero Hour pre-show for Revolution while Tony Schiavone interviewed Ash Avildsen, Damaris Lewis & Kelli Berglund prior to the main event with Lewis noting she learned that the wrestlers find out who wins the matches before the fans do.
Despite that faux pas, there seems to have been an even bigger slip-up as one of the biggest stars in the movie itself is on the AEW roster, not that you’d know it.
Kamille Won’t Say If She’s With AEW
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed AEW completely ignoring Kamille who stars as June Byers. Kamille is part of AEW although it seems the star herself can’t admit that:
She is persona non grata. They asked her ‘Are you with AEW?’ and she said ‘I cannot answer that question.’ So I don’t know what that means, obviously they’re not using her. She is a key player, she is the key adversary in this movie that just came out this week, it would make all the sense in the world knowing this because you know she’s in [the movie] building her up on television in some form because she’s in this movie as a star.
I know she had that one really terrible match and everything like that but it’s right there, you’ve got someone on your roster who’s starring in a movie and playing a monster heel which is a good role for her anyway and not a peep, she’s not on TV.
Kamille debuted in AEW as Mercedes Mone’s muscle in July 2024 but reports suggested the former NWA Women’s World Champion had joined Tony Khan’s company in February of that year. She has not been seen in AEW since November 2024.
