Missing AEW Star Finally Returning

Tony Khan AEW

One AEW star is confirmed to return to the ring after ten long months on the sidelines.

On the July 20, 2024 episode of Collision, Skye Blue took on Hikaru Shida, but the match came to a quick and unfortunate end.

During the bout, Shida hit a crossbody from the ring apron to the floor, but as she landed on Blue, the latter’s ankle appeared to buckle underneath her. After the star was checked by the referee, the match was waved off, and she was helped backstage by officials. It was later confirmed that Skye Blue had broken her ankle.

But now, ten months later, a return to the ring is in sight for Skye Blue.

After a report that Skye Blue was backstage at a recent Dynamite, AEW has now confirmed that the popular star is set to make her long-awaited return to the ring.

Skye Blue Finally Making Return To AEW

On a special Thursday night Collision, AEW announced that Skye Blue was returning in her hometown of Chicago at Beach Break. Blue will be part of a four-way title eliminator match also featuring AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm. The other two competitors have yet to be revealed.

Dynamite Beach Break on May 14 will also see Will Ospreay and Hangman Adam Page team up to face The Don Callis Family’s Josh Alexander and Konosuke Takeshita. The night’s main event will see Jon Moxley defend his AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe in a Steel Cage match.
