Missing AEW Star Competes For First Time In Over A Year

AEW Logo over roster

AEW Collision has been a place for lesser-used stars in the company to come to the forefront again and now it seems a former champion in the company is taking advantage of the opportunity.

Scorpio Sky was one of the original members of the AEW roster when the company was founded in 2019. Together with his SCU partner Frankie Kazarian, they became the company’s inaugural Tag Team Champions when they defeated the Lucha Brothers in a tournament final in October 2019.

When SCU went their separate ways, Sky formed The Men of the Year tag team with Ethan Page, eventually going on to win the TNT Championship while aligned with Dan Lambert.

On the 6th of July 2022 edition of Dynamite, Scorpio Sky lost the TNT Championship to Wardlow and then disappeared from AEW TV screens for over a year.

But now Sky is back and despite Regina, Saskatchewan possibly being the worst town he’s ever been in, he was able to pick up the win on his return to the AEW ring as he defeated Action Andretti on Collision.

Collision also saw the semi-finals take place for the men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and a big AEW Tag Team Title match is now set following Bullet Club Gold picking up a big win on the show.
