Mike Tyson Wants To Face Logan Paul In WWE – “I Would Kick His Ass”

Mike Tyson is calling out Logan Paul for a match in WWE as the Hall of Famer discussed a potential showdown as well as his love for pro wrestling.

For many combat sports fans, Mike Tyson is their favorite athlete ever. After, Mike Tyson became the youngest Heavyweight Boxing Champion of all time when he was just 20 years old. Tyson’s fights from his early days are incredible to watch since he finished off so many opponents in the first round by knockout.

In addition to his incredible boxing career that saw him over 50 professional fights and saw him end up in the Boxing Hall of Fame, Tyson is also a huge pro wrestling fan.

At WrestleMania 14 in 1998 when he was suspended from boxing for biting Evander Holyfield’s ear during a fight, Tyson was the special enforcer for the Steve Austin-Shawn Michaels main event for the WWE Title. While Tyson went into the match looking like he would help Michaels as part of D-Generation X, it was Tyson who ended up counting the pin (very quickly) to give Austin his first WWE Title. After the match, Tyson knocked out Michaels with one punch.

There were other WWE appearances by Tyson over the years, which led to his WWE Hall of Fame induction in 2012. Tyson has also appeared more recently at AEW shows multiple times.

During a recent interview with Alfred Konuwa for Forbes, Mike Tyson talked about his love of pro wrestling.

“I’m in the wrestling Hall of Fame. I loved wrestling all my life. The Valiant Brothers, Bruno Sammartino, that’s just who I was: the arrogant talker and the bad guy who people booed. That’s when I realized you can’t remember the good guy without the bad guy. That’s what makes the good guy famous, is the bad guy.”

“The good guy is nothing without the bad guy, the bad guy is the biggest draw. That’s why Floyd Mayweather and myself were the biggest draws because we were the bad guys.”

As he continued, Mike Tyson spoke about WWE superstar Logan Paul, who was rumored to have a fight with Tyson in the past, but it never materialized.

“Hate is really close to love, and just as much as you could love somebody, you could always have the opportunity to hate him. And just like you could hate somebody, he’ll always give you the opportunity to love him because of how he handles his adversity.

When I see [Logan Paul] looking good and doing well, I always stick up for him because when he makes all the money himself, I get the credit, too. Because without me he would have never had a platform.

I don’t think he’s really that serious [about a boxing match], but I’m just happy he’s receiving the success that the has. For my ego, I feel I had so much to do with that.”

When it comes to a potential WWE match with Logan Paul, who is signed to a contract by WWE, Mike Tyson seems open to that.

“Have you ever seen me wrestle before?” Tyson joked.

“I would do it! I would kick his [expletive] ass, yes I would do it. Even though I love him, though (laughs) This is what I found out about WrestleMania: Everybody says ‘that’s fake, that’s fake.’ But the check is real. Deep down inside—don’t let [WWE] know—I would do this for free.”

Whether Mike Tyson really competes in a WWE ring at 56 years of age, but it sounds like he might be open to it if the right offer came his way.
