Mickie James Chooses Former On-Screen Rival To Induct Her Into TNA Hall Of Fame

Mickie James has picked one of her former in-ring rivals to induct her into the TNA Hall of Fame.

The 2025 edition of TNA’s Hall of Fame will feature the company’s historically great Knockouts division when the HOF ceremony takes place at Bound for Glory on October 12th.

A five-time former TNA Knockouts Champion, Mickie James, will be inducted at this year’s TNA Hall of Fame ceremony, along with the Beautiful People duo of Angelina Love and Velvet Sky.

In addition to her success in TNA, James is a former six-time Women’s Champion in WWE and will likely be inducted into their Hall of Fame in the future as well.

Over the course of her 25-year career in professional wrestling, James had multiple stints in TNA, from the early days when it launched in 2002 to a second run from 2010 to 2013, following her first stint in WWE. After another WWE run, James returned to TNA from 2021 to 2023, where she had memorable feuds with the likes of Deonna Purrazzo, Jordynne Grace, and Trinity (WWE’s Naomi), among others.

Mickie James Picks Former WWE & TNA Rival Victoria/Tara For Hall Of Fame Induction

During Mickie James’ TNA run in late 2010, when she introduced the “Hardcore Country” persona, one of her first rivalries was with Tara, who was also known as WWE’s Victoria in her career. Her real name is Lisa Marie Varo,n and the two women are close friends.

While speaking to Wrestlignewsco‘s So Cal Val, Mickie announced that Lisa Marie will be inducting her into the TNA Hall of Fame.

“You’re going to be pleased with this as someone who was pretty synonymous with the whole in production of hardcore country. I think that we made some incredible, historic moments together, and that would be our dear friend, Lisa Marie. I’ve asked her.”

James revealed that she reached out to TNA management first about her choice, which led to TNA’s Tommy Dreamer (a good friend of both women) reaching out to Lisa. James shared what happened next.

“The next day, who do I have a five minute like, voice note from bawling, like, sweet Lisa. I wanted to call you. I wanted to FaceTime you. I was waiting for Tommy to respond to me!”
