Mick Foley To Appear In New WWE Game
Mick Foley has confirmed that he’ll be a part of an upcoming WWE gaming release, including which moniker in particular he’s done some voicework for.
It was back in 1998 when Mrs Foley’s Baby Boy made his first appearance in a WWE game, with Mankind, Cactus Jack and Dude Love all being a part of it. With the three faces of Foley established in the gaming sphere, at least one of the monikers has been included in licensed productions since.
It would appear this will continue to the next release, as Mick Foley himself has confirmed that he’s already been in the studio recording some of his voiceovers.
New Dude Love Voiceover Recorded
In his latest Foley Is Pod podcast, Foley confirmed that he’d done some recording and had tried some new things, including lines as Dude Love.
Grillo [podcast producer] can vouch for me that a few days ago, I went into his home studio and recorded the takes for the new WWE game. I do things as they’re written, but I also try some other things.
I remembered how much Jay Lethal loved When Dude Love was selling he was going, ‘Lighten up, daddy!’ Because Jay found that so amusing, I figured other people will. So we did one or two takes where Dude was asking his opponent to lighten up on him because that wasn’t really his bag, daddy.
With the recent passing of Terry Funk, Mick Foley paid a very special tribute to The Funker, putting him at the top of his professional wrestling Mount Rushmore.
