Mick Foley Shares Positive Health Update
Mick Foley is enjoying life out of the ring.
WWE legend Mick Foley is as famous for the damage he inflicted on himself in the ring as he is for his achievements inside the squared circle. He pushed through injury after injury, year after year, all in the name of entertainment.
But as predicted, that came at a great physical cost.
However, back in January, Mick Foley revealed he’d lost 100lbs after making plans to get back in the ring. He’d already confirmed that he wanted to wrestle in one last match to celebrate his 60th birthday, and that involved getting back in shape.
And while the match didn’t come off, he later stated that he held discussions with MJF about a final retirement run.
At the 59th annual Cauliflower Alley Club Reunion, Foley was honoured with the “Iron” Mike Mazurki Award. During the festivities, he sat down with the Kayfabe Friends Wrestling Podcast to discuss his legendary career and current health situation.
The veteran said he’s doing surprisingly well and walking better than he has for 15 years.
“Not too bad, all things considered. I don’t have to wonder when I wake up what I did for a living.
You know, I’m sore. But I’m not as sore as I thought I’d be. And I’m actually, thanks to the hip and knee replacement, then, you know, I did lose 99 pounds. I’ve gained some of it back on, but I’m still walking better than I was 15 years ago…
I actually, once in a while, pass people in the airport when I’m walking. So I’m doing better than I thought I’d be doing.”
Mick Foley Preparing To Disappear Into The Night
During an interview in June, Mick Foley revealed the truth about why he never got his front teeth fixed after his legendary Hell In A Cell match with The Undertaker. The Hardcore legend said he uses the damage as a friendly reminder of his most famous night.
He added that he’s planning one final tour in 2028 to commemorate that match before “disappearing into the night.” He quipped that his retirement from public life might be the perfect opportunity to get his teeth fixed and finally wear nice clothes.
