Mick Foley Reveals That Becky Lynch Is His Best Friend In WWE

Mick Foley has named who he says is his closest friend in WWE and says he regrets that ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch wasn’t a part of a recent documentary on Foley.

Foley might be a hardcore legend but the WWE Hall Of Famer is a lover rather than a fighter as he opened up on his friendship with former WWE Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch.

The three-time WWE Champion was hosting a panel at Steel City Con when he discussed his recent A&E Biography documentary and says he wishes Lynch had been a part of it.

Mick Foley stated:

“I’d say Becky Lynch is probably my closest friend [in WWE] and the one regret I had about my A&E documentary, I just wish Becky, I wish I’d said, ‘You need to interview Becky Lynch’ because it gives a different perspective, a female perspective and I was somebody who inspired her considering she’s The Man in WWE. That’s a really nice story, so I really like that, you know? I really value all the baby photos she sends me and she’s just a great young lady so I go with Becky Lynch, best friend, final answer. There you go.”

Becky Lynch has not been seen on WWE television since she relinquished her Raw Women’s Championship to Asuka in May 2020. Announcing Asuka as the new champion of the red brand, Lynch announced to the world that she was pregnant and would therefore be taking time away from the ring.

Lynch and her husband Seth Rollins welcomed their daughter Roux into the world in December 2020. Rumours of Lynch’s return have been swirling for months now with September being named in the most recent reports as a likely return date.
