Mick Foley Names His Greatest Contribution To Pro Wrestling
Mick Foley has recently revealed what he thinks is the greatest contribution that he’s ever made to professional wrestling.
Both inside and outside of the ring, Mick Foley has done a lot for people. Mick Foley has done revolutionary acts in the squared circle and he’s helped out dozens with his charity, and it’s contributed to how wrestlers are viewed with both their art form and how they’re generally perceived.
Speaking on the most recent edition of his “Foley is Pod” podcast, Mick Foley spoke about what he believes he has contributed the most to the world of wrestling. Foley said that he thinks he’s helped change the way main event wrestling talent is viewed, with wrestlers coming in all different forms.
“Probably expanding people’s ideas of what a big star could look like. That was probably the biggest. I think I expanded — opened the door for guys to follow, like Kevin Owens, like Bray Wyatt, who might not have gotten a look as a star. I’d like to think my lasting contribution is that I think I treated people well when I was on top, and that goes back to remembering how I was treated in Memphis.”
