Mick Foley recently dropped a bombshell decision to cut ties with WWE.

On December 16, the WWE Hall of Famer announced he would no longer appear for WWE or renew his Legends contract expiring in June, citing WWE’s close relationship with President Donald Trump.

The catalyst was Trump’s Truth Social post mocking the death of film director Rob Reiner.

Amid the controversy, a wrestling fan page called “It’s Wrestling Lover” claimed Mick Foley was “furious” at WWE for using his old footage without permission.

Mick Foley Is Not Angry With WWE For Using His Old Footages

In his latest Instagram post, Mick Foley debunked the rumor outright, stating that WWE has legal rights to archival material from his tenure.

He expressed pride in his past work, saying he’s “proud of the footage” and enjoys seeing it shared.

The Hardcore legend also urged the page to retract the false statement.

I found out that an Instagram site called It’s Wrestling Lover is putting out a completely fabricated story about me being furious with WWE for using my wrestling footage

First of all, it’s their footage. They can do whatever they want with it.

Secondly, I’m proud of the footage. I love everything I did when I was part of the company, and I like being seen. So, please retract this statement. Admit it’s false. Do the right thing and have a nice day!”

Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful recently discussed the potential of Mick Foley joining AEW after his WWE departure during his Q&A session following Worlds End.

He revealed that AEW President Tony Khan holds the Hardcore Legend in high regard, opening the door for the 60-year-old veteran to take on an on-screen role within the promotion.
