Michelle McCool believes the support of wrestling fans is a big reason why she was a part of the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble match.

As a former WWE Women’s and Divas Champion that worked for the company from 2004 to 2011, Michelle McCool is well-known to wrestling fans as one of the most athletic women in WWE history.

Even in retirement, McCool remains in great shape and also competed in the inaugural 2018 Women’s Royal Rumble match. McCool eliminated five women in that match, which was the most of any women in the ring that night. McCool was also in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match as well and lasted over 20 minutes.

This year, WWE decided to do something unique with McCool. They showed her sitting in the crowd sitting with her daughter watching the show. McCool is married to WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker, who was at the show backstage but didn’t make an appearance in front of the crowd.

As the Women’s Royal Rumble match was going on, McCool’s music hit as the 25th entrant in the match. McCool acted like she had no idea about it because of course she’s going to react that way to sell it and then went into the ring wearing her Uggs boots rather than traditional wrestling gear.

During the match, McCool hit Zelina Vega with her Faithbreaker finishing move. McCool lasted about 13 minutes in the match until being eliminated by Rhea Ripley, who won the match.

On Twitter, Michelle McCool thanked the fans for wanting her to be in the Rumble match while claiming that their messages to WWE and Chief Content Officer Triple H helped her get the spot in the match.

“Real talk….thank YOU @WWEUniverse !Y’all legit did this and I love you for it! I’ve never felt so loved Because of y’alls messages to @wwe & @TripleH the last 2 weeks, I got the call…9 days before the Rumble(I wasn’t lying when I told y’all I hadn’t gotten the call yet).”
