Michael Cole Confirms WWE Commentary Switch
WWE’s commentary teams are undergoing a shake-up as the company’s main shows get set to move networks in the coming months.
Back in July, it was announced that ESPN’s Joe Tessitore would be joining WWE later in 2024 to join the commentary team. Pat McAfee will be taking time away from WWE again leaving a gap on the current Raw announce team. That slot was filled by Corey Graves who reunited with Michael Cole and it seems they will be joining forces for the next few months.
Michael Cole Moving To WWE SmackDown
On Raw in Providence, Rhode Island, Michael Cole and Corey Graves confirmed that they will be the announce team on SmackDown when the blue brand moves to the USA Network on September 13th. Joe Tessitore will begin his WWE career on the 2nd of September edition of Raw but it remains unknown if he will be joined by Corey Graves or his regular SmackDown partner Wade Barrett.
It was already announced that Pat McAfee will be calling Raw when it moves to Netflix in January 2025. It is believed he will be joined by Michael Cole when that happens with Tessitore moving to SmackDown at that time.
Raw also saw Michael Cole pay tribute to the late former WWE Champion Sycho Sid as he introduced a video package for the star who died at the age of 63.
