Mercedes Mone Wins Even More Gold Ahead Of AEW Full Gear
It’s lucky 13 for Mercedes Mone as she captures even more gold before AEW Full Gear.
It all started with Mercedes Mone’s very first match in AEW when she captured the TBS Title from Willow Nightingale. Since then, Mone has become the longest-reigning holder of that title and has gone on to amass a collection of twelve championships from around the world.
At WrestleDream, Mercedes Mone captured number eleven when she defeated Mina Shirawaka for the Interim ROH Women’s Television Title. One day later, The CEO added a twelfth title to her collection at an independent show.
She missed out on a potential thirteenth title after she and Athena were shockingly knocked out of the tournament to crown the inaugural AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions. However, Mone didn’t have to wait much longer to earn her thirteenth title.
Mercedes Mone Wins 13th Title
During House of Glory’s Superclash in Brentwood, New York, Mone defeated Nor Phoenix Diana to capture the APAC Women’s title for the first time.
With thirteen titles now in the bag, Mercedes Mone has the biggest prize of all in sight as she will challenge Kris Statlander for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Full Gear.
Mone picked up a win in the first female Blood & Guts match when Toni Storm was forced to surrender. However, Mone missed out on the post-match celebrations as she was laid out outside the ring after being dropped through a table by Statlander.
