Mercedes Mone Wants New AEW Show

Mercedes Mone AEW

Mercedes Mone has praised the AEW women’s division.

Ahead of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Tony Khan turned heads by claiming the AEW women’s division is now the best in the world.

While comments from Khan certainly sparked a great deal of chatter online, the company’s roster is undoubtedly stronger than ever with the likes of Mercedes Mone, Willow Nightingale, Toni Storm, Kris Statlander, Mariah May, and more all impressing in 2024.

These conversations have led to suggestions that AEW could even launch a women-only show. During an appearance on the Battleground Podcast, the idea was put to Mone and it’s fair to say she was very much in favour.

“Wow, a weekly show, absolutely. We have the talent, so why not? All Elite Women Wrestling? There you go. We have the best women’s wrestling. From Willow, Mariah May, Toni Storm, Serena Deeb, Kris Statlander, Kamille, there is definitely an opportunity to have an all women’s show every single week, so I don’t see why not,”

Mercedes Mone To Get New Challenger At Full Gear

Back in the ring, Mercedes Mone is preparing for one of the biggest challenges of her AEW career to date.

In recent weeks, Kris Statlander has made no secret of her annoyance at Mone and pinned her bodyguard Kamille on Dynamite. However, Mone did end up having the last laugh attacking Statlander after the final bell.

On the following episode of Collision, Statlander fired back at Mone challenging her to a match at Full Gear on November 23rd.

Mone has held the TBS Title since beating Willow Nightingale back at Double or Nothing. The match was her first since signing with AEW.
