Mercedes Mone Urged To Vacate All Titles After AEW Championship Win

Mercedes Mone has been urged to give up all her gold if she can win the biggest prize of them all at AEW Full Gear.

It all started with Mercedes Mone’s very first match in AEW when she captured the TBS Title from Willow Nightingale. Since then, Mone has become the longest-reigning holder of that title and has gone on to amass a collection of twelve championships from around the world.

At WrestleDream, Mercedes Mone captured number eleven when she defeated Mina Shirawaka for the Interim ROH Women’s Television Title. One day later, The CEO added a twelfth title to her collection at an independent show. And it seems one way or another, she’s looking for lucky number thirteen.

Mercedes Mone will team with ROH Women’s Champion Athena in the tournament to crown the inaugural AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions. However, Mone has the biggest prize of all in sight as she will challenge Kris Statlander for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Full Gear.

And if she wins that gold, then she’s being urged to give up the others.

Should Mercedes Mone Vacate Her Titles?

Speaking on Busted Open, former WWE star Tommy Dreamer explained that if Mone won AEW’s biggest prize, then she should simply vacate all her other titles, making her an even bigger heel in the process:

I would have Mercedes win. And just to be a bigger douche, vacate every title, which then goes to [her saying], I’m not putting everybody over, but due to my hectic schedule, make her a bigger heel.

I’m only acknowledging this title, almost like everything you did was a stepping stone to get to what you wanted. But then vacate every other title you have because this is the most meaningful, which then also puts that light in that title for being the biggest one.
