Mercedes Mone To Headline NJPW Event
Mercedes Mone will put some of her championship gold on the line in December.
Since debuting with AEW back in March, Mercedes Mone has remained undefeated. During this period she’s seen off the likes of Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida, Queen Aminata, and more.
However, at Full Gear, the star will face arguably her biggest test to date when she puts her TBS Title on the line against Kris Statlander. The challenger has been on a mission to take out Mone and her bodyguard Kamille, who she defeated on October 10th.
But regardless of the outcome at Full Gear, it looks to be a busy end to the year for Mone.
Mercedes Mone To Defend NJPW Women’s Strong Title
It’s now been announced that Mercedes Mone will put her NJPW Strong Women’s Title on the line against Hazuki at NJPW Strong Style Evolved on December 15th. Not only that, the match will be one of two co-main events. In the other card-topping bout, Gabe Kidd will defend his NJPW Strong Openweight Championship against Ryohei Oiwa.
Mone won the title back at Forbidden Door with a win over Stephanie Vaquer. The title was created specifically for Mone back in 2023 but in the final of a short tournament to crown the first-ever champion she suffered a broken ankle. As a result, her opponent Willow Nightingale walked away with the gold.
