Mercedes Mone To Defend TBS Title Against International Star On Dynamite

The challengers keep on coming for Mercedes Mone.

After getting the better of Willow Nightingale at Double or Nothing to claim the TBS Title, Mercedes Mone has set her sights on conquering AEW and beyond. Mone has already defended the gold against Skye Blue, and she’s being given little time to rest on her laurels.

It’s already been announced that Mercedes Mone will clash with Stephanie Vaquer in a massive double-title match at Forbidden Door — if she makes it with the gold. At the annual cross-promotional event, both Mone’s TBS Title and Vaquer’s NJPW STRONG Women’s Title will be up for grabs.

Mercedes Mone To Join Will Ospeay On AEW Dynamite

Tony Khan has now announced on social media that Mercedes Mone will defend her TBS Championship against Zeuxis on June 12th. The Puerto Rican star regularly teams with Stephanie Vaquer in CMLL where the pair hold the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Khan then promised an “informative video package” would be shown to highlight Zeuxis, seemingly taking a shot at criticism that he does little to introduce unfamiliar stars. The AEW boss added that should Zeuxis win the gold, Mone’s match at Forbidden Door against Vaquer will be for the NJPW STRONG Women’s Title.

Elsewhere on Dynamite, Will Ospreay will defend the International Title against Rey Fenix. The British star is due to challenge for the AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door.
