Mercedes Mone Comments On Shock IMPACT Debut
Former IWGP Women’s World Champion Mercedes Mone has had her say on the recent shock debut in IMPACT Wrestling of her former tag team partner Naomi.
Naomi and Mone – then known as Sasha Banks – were WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions until they handed over their belts and walked out of the company in May 2022 after becoming increasingly frustrated with their creative direction.
After much speculation, Mercedes Mone’s wrestling future became clearer on the 4th of January 2023 when she made her debut for New Japan Pro Wrestling at Wrestle Kingdom 17. She then went on to become the second IWGP Women’s World Champion but recently lost the title to Mayu Iwatani as her future becomes unclear once again.
However, fans know exactly where Naomi is going to be after she made her debut in IMPACT Wrestling where she will be known as Trinity. Mone was in attendance to see her friend’s debut and took to social media to share her thoughts on it:
“@TheTrinity_Fatu is here to make an IMPACT!!! She bout to knock out all competition & leave em in the rear view. Get it sis”

Trinity’s debut in IMPACT Wrestling will air on the 4th of May but she has set her sights on the Knockouts Championship currently held by Deonna Purrazzo.
