Mercedes Mone Wants To Be Named After WWE Hall Of Famer

Mercedes Mone AEW

Mercedes Mone might be “Ultimo” but now she wants to be named after a WWE Hall of Famer as she pokes fun at online rumours.

Mercedes Mone is on the run of a lifetime as the longest-reigning TBS Champion of all time, and currently holds eleven other titles as well. Mone issued an open challenge to any champion at WrestleDream, and that challenge was answered by Interim ROH Women’s Television Champion Mina Shirakawa.

Mone picked up the victory over Shirakawa, making that eleven belts in her collection, but The CEO wasn’t done there. One night later, Mone captured another independent title, taking her haul up to twelve.

Most importantly, however, Mercedes Mone will challenge Kris Statlander for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Full Gear in a match that is being billed “Winner take all.” However, it is believed to be just Mone’s TBS Title that will be on the line in that bout.

Mercedes Mone Wants Shawn Michaels’ Nickname

Now, Mone has involved herself in the usual social media nonsense as one troll took exception to comparisons between her and Shawn Michaels. The person in question, with apparently no knowledge of the past, made sure to note that Shawn Michaels “wasn’t a selfish egomaniac.” Something that HBK himself would likely admit to being at one point in his life, at least.

Mercedes Mone took to social media to give her take on the situation, simply writing:

Call me Moné “CEO” Michaels

Mercedes Mone is already calling herself Ultimo Mone as a take on the legendary Ultimo Dragon, who famously held ten championships at once.
