Mercedes Mone Match Added To AEW WrestleDream

AEW has added another match to the WrestleDream PPV lineup, and this one features Mercedes Mone defending the TBS Championship.

The third annual AEW WrestleDream PPV takes place this Saturday, October 18th, at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, with several big matches set to take place at the show.

Coming out of this week’s three-hour AEW Dynamite and Collision episode, the WrestleDream lineup was pushed heavily, and there were nine matches on the main show. However, one of AEW’s biggest stars – Mercedes Mone – was missing from the show. However, on Friday night, that changed, and now Mone is on the card.

Mercedes Mone, who currently holds 10 championships, including AEW’s TBS Championship, beat Persephone on Friday night in Mexico City to retain the CMLL Women’s Championship.

After the match, Mone did a promo saying she would defend the TBS Championship against any champion at AEW WrestleDream.

In addition, Mone also accepted a challenge from Olympia for a future match for the CMLL Women’s Championship. According to Mone, that match will take place in the United States, not Mexico.

Mercedes Mone Match Means There Will Be Nine Matches At AEW WrestleDream

The lineup for the AEW WrestleDream PPV on October 18th is below.

  • AEW Women’s World Championship: Kris Statlander (c) vs. Toni Storm
  • I Quit Match: Darby Allin vs. Jon Moxley
  • AEW Tag Team Championships: Brodido – Brody King & Bandido (c) vs. Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita
  • TNT Championship: Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Mark Briscoe
  • $500K Match: The Young Bucks – Matt & Nick Jackson vs. Jurassic Express – “Jungle” Jack Perry & Luchasaurus
  • Tornado Trios Match: The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP) vs. The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Liona)
  • Jamie Hayter vs. Thekla
  • TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone (c) vs. TBD

There are also four matches on the Tailgate Brawl episode of Collision, airing on TNT in the US, before WrestleDream.
