Mercedes Mone Makes AEW History

Mercedes Mone AEW

Mercedes Mone is riding high.

On October 10, Mercedes Mone captured her 10th championship with a win in Denmark with Bodyslam Wrestling. With victory over Aliss Ink, Mone became the new Bodyslam Women’s Champion.

The star will now head to Mexico to defend her CMLL Women’s Championship against Persephone on October 17 before challenging Jody Threat for the WPW Women’s Championship in Canada on the 19th.

In the middle, Mone is scheduled to appear at AEW WrestleDream, but there’s no word on whether she’ll be wrestling.

Mercedes Mone Sets New Record

As of October 17, 2025, Mercedes Mone has now held the TBS Championship for 509 days, which is a new record. The star’s title reign has moved past that of Jade Cargill, who became the inaugural champion on January 5, 2022, holding the gold until May 28, 2023.

After losing the title to Kris Statlander at Double or Nothing, Cargill went on hiatus before failing to beat Statlander in a rematch. Following that loss, Cargill left the company and signed with WWE.

Statlander later dropped the title to Julia Hart in a three-way match at Full Gear, also involving Skye Blue. Hart subsequently held the title until being beaten by Willow Nightgale at Dynasty 2024.

To date, Mone has made 22 defences of the TBS Championship since beating Nightingale at Double or Nothing 2024.
