Mercedes Mone In Huge Double Title Forbidden Door Match

Mercedes Mone is heading to Forbidden Door and she’ll have the chance to add more gold to go alongside her AEW TBS Championship.

Mercedes Mone was injured back in May 2023 in a match against Willow Nightingale to crown the inaugural NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion. Mone was meant to win the match but given her injury, the finish to the match was changed on the fly with Nightingale winning the gold.

The two women finally clashed again at Double Or Nothing 2024 with The CEO picking up the win over Nightingale to capture the TBS Championship in her very first AEW match.

Now with Forbidden Door on the horizon, it looks like Mone will get the chance to capture the title that previously alluded her.

Mercedes Mone vs. Stephanie Vaquer Set For Forbidden Door

On Dynamite in Loveland, Colorado, it was confirmed that Mercedes Mone will be part of a double title match at Forbidden Door on June 30th. Mone’s TBS Title will be on the line when she clashes with the current NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer whose gold will always be up for grabs.

The match announcement came one week after Stephanie Vaquer confronted Mercedes Mone after Mone had successfully defended her gold against Skye Blue.
