Mercedes Mone To Face New Challenger At AEW Grand Slam
Mercedes Mone will put the TBS Championship on the line in Australia.
After winning yet another championship at Wrestle Dynasty in January, Mercedes Mone has found herself on the radar of Harley Cameron.
This has seen Cameron delight in singing songs about Mone while trying to get a match for the TBS Championship. Cameron has become a beloved underdog to AEW fans everywhere, with thousands cheering on to success despite her inexperience.
But despite a match with Mone once appearing like nothing more than a pipe dream, Cameron has finally gotten her wish.
Mercedes Mone Feels The Wrath
On the February 8 edition of Collision, Cameron held an in-ring concert where she sang a song about Mone. Unsurprisingly, the TBS Champion didn’t take kindly to the tune at her expense, and she quickly came out to cut Cameron off.
But in an act of defiance that delighted the crowd, Cameron said she wasn’t going anywhere until she got a shot at the TBS Title. For good measure she even added that the most entertaining Mone has ever been was when she was a puppet.
In response, Mone slapped Cameron, but her rival hit her back with the microphone, telling the champion to feel her wrath.
After the altercation a match between the pair for Grand Slam was made official.
