Mercedes Moné Captures Another Championship

Mercedes Mone went to Europe and added another championship to her collection.

After joining AEW in March 2024, Mercedes Mone captured the TBS Championship at Double or Nothing in May 2024. Since then, Mone has continued to add to her collection of championships.

The title collection grew on Friday in Vienna, Austria, at an event called Pratercatchen. Mone was in a triple threat match with Lexa Valo and Mila Smidt, and Mone left with the EWA (European Wrestling Association) Women’s Championship.

By winning the EWA Women’s Championship, Mone has added another title to her collection, joining the TBS Title, RevPro’s Undisputed British Women’s Champion, and the AEW Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Championship.

As for what’s next in terms of possible promotions where she could appear, Mercedes Mone told a fan on X/Twitter that she wants to get paid the right amount, and she wants a title shot wherever she goes.

I’m NOT coming to any promotion if you’re NOT going to pay me and give me a title match.

Mercedes Mone Joined AEW Because Of Toni Storm

By winning the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, Mercedes Mone earned a shot to face the AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm at All In Texas on July 12th. It is AEW’s biggest show of the year, and it’s already being hyped up as the biggest women’s match in AEW history.

After her win at Double or Nothing, Mercedes Mone praised “Timeless” Toni Storm heavily and admitted that Storm was a big reason why Mone signed with AEW in the first place.

“She (Storm) might be timeless, but I’m legendary. I’m iconic and my legacy can never be undone. I mean, I’ve been looking forward to facing Toni Storm for a very long time.

I’ve been watching her for years, all the way since STARDOM. She is timeless for a reason. She holds the AEW Women’s Championship for a reason. But I’m four belts Moné, I am the CEO of not only AEW, RevPro, New Japan. Soon we’ll be going to Mexico. But, I am a global champion for a reason and I want all the gold and Toni, be prepared for your greatest match of your life.

She’s legit one of the reasons why I came to AEW. She put AEW on storm for me. I couldn’t stop watching every single week because of her. But I’m ready to dethrone the ‘Timeless’ one and we’re gonna go onto the revolution of Mercedes Moné.”
