Mercedes Mone Thinks AEW Star Is On Their Way To World Title
Nothing can stop Mercedes Mone.
At AEW Grand Slam Australia, Mercedes Mone put her TBS Championship on the line against Harley Cameron.
The young Aussie has enjoyed a surge in popularity in recent weeks and found a way to get under Mone’s skin. This resulted in her earning a shot at one of Mone’s three championships.
However, despite Cameron’s best efforts, Mone used her greater experience to her advantage and took the win after a Mone maker. But despite their on-screen issues, Cameron seems to have an impact on Mone.
Mercedes Mone Tips Harley Cameron For Success
Writing in her Mone Mag, the TBS Champion heaped praise on Cameron and said she’s on the way to becoming World Champion. However, she also warned that while Cameron is on the way up, she’s still the greatest of all time.
“Australia, you were nothing short of incredible! Wrestling in front of that passionate crowd was an experience I’ll never forget,” Mercedes Moné wrote. “The warmth and kindness of everyone I encountered—from the hotel staff to the fans—left a lasting impression on me. Seriously, the people in Australia are some of the nicest I’ve ever met.
“And let’s talk about my match with Harley! She was phenomenal. Watching her grow has been such a joy, and I truly believe she’s on her way to becoming a world champion. She’s a star, a go-getter, and an entertainer in every sense of the word.
“But remember, while she’s on her way up, I’m still the greatest of all time and the reigning TBS champion. Nothing can derail this momentum—not even Momo Watabana. trust me, this Moné train is unstoppable!”
Momo Watanabe has challenged Mercedes Mone to a match at Revolution for the TBS Championship, referring to her win at Wrestle Dynasty in January. As a result of winning the International Women’s Cup, Watanabe earned a shot at the Women’s Championship of her choosing.
Unimpressed by the challenge, Mone told Watanabe to appear on the February 26 edition of Dynamite to meet her face to face.
