Mercedes Mone Stands Tall At AEW Double Or Nothing

Mercedes Mone AEW

Mercedes Mone might have recently lost championship gold but now she’s in line to fight for the biggest prize of all.

Belt collector Mercedes Mone recently lost the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship, but she still has plenty of titles to keep her happy with the TBS and Rev Pro Undisputed British Women’s Championships still adorning her.

Mone earned the chance to move one match away from a shot at the AEW Women’s World Title at All In Texas when she made it to the final of the 2025 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Standing in The CEO’s way was Jamie Hayter, who has impressed massively since her return to AEW.

At Double Or Nothing, Mone and Hayter clashed in their tournament final that lasted over 20 minutes. A competitive match came crashing to an end after Mone sent Hayter crashing to the mat with a DDT to pick up the win.

Later in the night, Toni Storm retained her AEW Women’s World Championship against Mina Shirakawa, meaning that it is the Timeless star who will defend the gold against Mercedes Mone at All In Texas on July 12.

The Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament also came to an end at Double Or Nothing with Hangman Adam Page picking up a huge win over Will Ospreay.
