A major WWE star was absent from Monday Night RAW.

Xavier Woods has not competed for nearly a month. The New Day member is now on a five-match losing streak, with his last win dating back to May when he and Kofi Kingston defeated The Creed Brothers and The Viking Warriors in a Triple Threat tag team match.

The 13-time champion, Kingston, and their associate Grayson Waller have been publicly criticizing the RAW General Manager, Adam Pearce, even calling him out for being unprofessional in his treatment of them.

After missing last week’s RAW because the fans’ disrespect was driving him insane, Woods was nowhere to be found on tonight’s episode of the red brand.

Grayson Waller Explains Xavier Woods’ Absence From WWE RAW

During a commercial break, Grayson Waller explained Xavier Woods’ absence from tonight’s RAW in an interview with Byron Saxton. He disclosed that the WWE veteran was on a “mental health break.”

Unfortunately, brother Woods is taking a mental health break. And do you blame him, Byron? Imagine giving over ten years of your life to tag team wrestling. No time with family, no time with friends, giving everything to tag team wrestling. And what does he get in return? These fans boo him. The boys backstage are disrespectful, and worst of all, the guy who runs it all, Adam Pearce, disrespects him.

Waller even read a message from Woods to the crowd.

I felt it would be a travesty to make my return in a traffic-congested, smog-filled dump like Anaheim.

Meanwhile, Waller disclosed that when Woods returns, The New Day will go after the World Tag Team Championship.
