Another McMahon May Enter WWE Hall Of Fame Before Shane McMahon
Stephanie McMahon was announced as the first inductee of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026 on September 20, 2025, during Wrestlepalooza.
The Undertaker made the announcement, surprising McMahon live at the ringside, celebrating her decades of contributions both in front of and behind the camera.
The McMahon family were the backbone of WWE for decades, helping mould the company into a worldwide entertainment powerhouse across generations. Alongside Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon, Shane McMahon also played a vital role as an in-ring performer, on-screen authority figure, and executive in the company.
Speaking on The Stevie Richards Show, Stevie Richards and James Romero discussed McMahon’s Hall of Fame induction next year. During the conversation, they wondered which McMahon might be the next to get inducted into the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame. Then Stevie said that he believes Linda McMahon will get inducted into the Hall of Fame, even before her son Shane McMahon. He didn’t give a specific reason for this.
That’s an interesting question. I would say Linda might get in before Shane. (From 10:12)
Linda McMahon significantly impacted WWE as a longtime executive, serving as CEO and chairwoman before moving into politics as U.S. Small Business Administrator.
Shane McMahon Deserves Hall of Fame More Than Stephanie McMahon, Says Steve Richards
In the same interview, Stevie also said that he thinks Shane McMahon is more deserving of the Hall of Fame than his sister.
Shane by a mile deserves it more than Stephanie for just the performance and the memorable moments in his matches and how he still could cut a promo. He still did what he did even way back in the Corporate Ministry days. Shane would deserve it. It’s still enough body of work where Shane deserves to be in the Hall of Fame long before Stephanie. Way before Stephanie.
