Max Dupri Dropped From Maximum Male Models

Max Dupri with Maximum Male Models

A new report has claimed that Max Dupri is gone from Maximum Male Models.

Despite the new Maximum Male Models faction being in it’s infancy, it’s already undergoing some serious changes.

The group led by Max Dupri, formerly LA Knight in NXT, and featuring ma.cé and mån.sôör, (Mace and Mansoor respectively) only debuted two months ago but change is in the air.

According to a new report from PWTorch’s Wade Keller, Dupri will no longer be involved with the group. The report adds that Dupri “rubbed some people the wrong way” and “wasn’t fitting in.” As a result, Vince McMahon made the decision to write him out of the storyline.

In fact, it appears that the star has already made his last appearance with the group, after not appearing on the July 22nd episode of SmackDown.

On the show, Dupri’s on-screen sister Maxxine Dupri (Sofia Cromwell) made her debut, as the faction’s new leader.

At time of writing it is unclear whether the star will remain on SmackDown or return to NXT.

Dupri’s most recent stint with WWE began in February 2021 when he became part of NXT under the name LA Knight. After engaging in a number of high-profile feuds, including time working with Ted DiBiase and winning the Million Dollar Championship, Knight was finally called up to the main roster in May 2022.

Ahead of SmackDown there were also reports that one of WWE’s biggest stars would also be missing. Following the announcement confirming Vince McMahon’s retirement, it was reported that Brock Lesnar walked out of the show, just hours before it began.

However, despite this Lesnar appeared in the main event segment where he beatdown Theory.
