Matt Hardy Tips AEW Stars To Find Success In WWE
Two AEW stars moving to WWE would be “huge” according to Matt Hardy.
In recent weeks the Lucha Brothers have been repeatedly linked with a move to WWE. There have been claims the pair have already told AEW they’ll be leaving when their contracts expire, and there were even rumours Penta’s contract had already run out.
It’s been reported that the Lucha Brothers have already received an offer from WWE, and suggestions they won’t do business the right way on their way out.
With speculation at an all-time high, Matt Hardy gave his thoughts on the former AEW Tag Team Champions on his Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy podcast. The tag team legend began by hailing Penta and Fenix as the Young Bucks’ greatest opponents.
“They are one of the OG [teams], they’re a couple of the founding talents and really staples of the tag team division. I know we talked about this, they’re probably the Young Bucks greatest opponents too which is a big deal if those guys do end up stepping away.”
Hardy added that the Lucha Brothers could be huge in WWE.
“I do. I do, especially with how much they are playing towards the Hispanic market in this day and age and especially, you know, going on tours in Mexico and South America. They’d would be huge, they would be huge.”
Matt Hardy Confirms WWE Meeting
During an earlier episode of the podcast, Matt Hardy confirmed he and his brother Jeff met with WWE during SummerSlam weekend. The visit was so that the pair could shoot some content for the company to air in the coming months. There’s no word on what the footage will be used for.
Ever since Matt and Jeff left AEW they have been linked with a return to WWE. Although they are currently appearing for TNA, they aren’t under contract and have suggested they could leave for the right opportunity.
