Matt Hardy Open To Joining Top WWE Faction

Broken Matt Hardy WWE

Matt Hardy is a big fan of one WWE faction.

Since the group kicked Edge to the curb back in Summer 2022, the Judgment Day has established itself as the most impressive faction in WWE not called The Bloodline. The group has taken the likes of Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, and Dominik Mysterio to new heights while picking up plenty of gold along the way.

Although there have been some cracks appearing within the group, Damian Priest stands as the World Heavyweight Champion. While Rhea Ripley is due to challenge for the Women’s World Title at SummerSlam, even if her partnership with Mysterio appears to be on the rocks.

Matt Hardy Says Judgment Day Switch Would Be Fun

Since leaving AEW, Matt Hardy has returned to TNA and begun evolving his “Broken Matt” character.

During a recent episode of his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the veteran was asked by a fan about bringing the persona to the Judgment Day. In response, Hardy discussed the changes to his character, commenting that a link-up with the group would be fun.

“Yeah, once again, never say never. Who knows? The ‘Broken’ Matt Hardy character is actually kind of evolving. Some people have noticed how I kind of go in and out of the voice of ‘Broken’ Matt or the voice of the more authentic Matt Hardy, so it is changing some.

It is definitely evolving. I think it is time to do this evolution. So yeah, who knows? The Judgment Day, they’ve got a cool gig going, so yeah, that’d be something that would be fun.”

Although Matt and Jeff Hardy have returned to TNA since leaving AEW, they have repeatedly been linked with a return to WWE. The pair are currently working on a per-appearance deal with TNA, leaving the way clear to move elsewhere should a significant offer be made.
