Matt Hardy Thinks NXT Star Could Go All The Way

Matt Hardy Reveals Nearly Signing With WWE Rival Promotion Early In His Career

Matt Hardy believes that NXT star Oba Femi will become a huge name in the future.

The imposing Nigeria-born Superstar is the reigning NXT Champion and recently saw off the challenge of TNA Champion Moose at NXT Roadblock on 11th March.

The Hardy Boyz also work under the TNA umbrella and were in action on the same night, retaining their TNA Tag Team Championship in a critically acclaimed bout with Nathan Frazer and Axiom.

The crossover between the two promotions has given Matt Hardy the opportunity to watch the up and coming talent that NXT has to offer and he recently highlighted a number of exciting young talents that had caught his eye.

Speaking during a recent edition of his podcast ‘The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy‘, the former ECW Champion singled out Oba Femi as a huge star of the future:

“There were a lot of people where we just got to sit down and really watch them for the first time ever. Even Je’Von, it was great watching him and seeing how talented he was because I’d heard about him and I’d heard how good he was.

Oba is another person. I’d never seen a ton of his work, but I think he has the potential to be a huge star. He could go all the way in the business, right?

I love Myles (Borne) and Tavion (Heights) too, they were both great. Big fan of Fraxiom, even working with those guys, they are really incredible and it’s so cool. I think they are happy they got that opportunity to do this weird move of these two guys don’t fit together but we’re going to team them and then they really make it into something great, I’m so happy for those guys.”

Matt Hardy Lifts Lid On Last Minute Return To WWE

The Hardy Boyz made their shock return to WWE on 18th February, teeing up a bout with No Quarter Catch Crew’s Tavion Heights and Myles Borne one week later.

Matt Hardy recently lifted the lid on the return, revealing that it came together just hours before the show took place.
