Matt Hardy Gives Massive Update On The Hardys TNA Future
The Hardys are top stars in TNA, and Matt Hardy shared an update on their wrestling future.
It’s going to be a big year for TNA in 2026 since the company will debut on AMC on Thursday, January 15th. Since AMC is a much bigger network than the company’s current US home, AXS TV, it should lead to a larger audience watching Impact and other TNA programming.
Former TNA World Champions Matt & Jeff Hardy, aka The Hardys, are 51 and 48 years old, yet they are still among the biggest stars in wrestling, even after 30+ years of taking bumps in a ring.
The Hardys are the current TNA World Tag Team Champions, and they have held the gold for over 150 days. They even held the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles earlier this year as well.
There is no doubt that The Hardys are WWE and TNA Hall of Famers, but there have been questions about their future.
A recent report from Fightful Select claimed that The Hardys “have not officially signed new contracts with TNA,” but that a deal was expected to be done very soon, and for a long-term commitment.
While promoting a podcast appearance on social media, Matt Hardy seemed to squash the rumors by noting that they re-signed with TNA for a while.
“BTW, we’ve been re-signed for a while. Merry Christmas, guys!”
This chat was a fun dive into myself & @JEFFHARDYBRAND’s brotherly relationship as well as a discussion about the Hardys’ effect on @ThisIsTNA’s business at 44:40.. Thanks for a very compelling combo, @MikeGilbert311.

Matt Hardy Believes The Hardys Ability To Reinvent Themselves Has Helped Their Longevity
While reflecting on The Hardys’ incredible run in pro wrestling, Matt Hardy spoke about how the brothers have adapted over the years, which has led to their continued success.
“I think a key, really important part of pro wrestling is evolving, is reinvention at some point. I mean, if you look at any great successful TV show like Breaking Bad. Part of AMC, right, in the history.
Breaking Bad is a show that had Walter White and he changed throughout the show. But still he was Walter White, he was Heisenberg, and it went for five seasons.
I mean, we’re going into year 34 now. So if a year’s a season, 34 seasons. I mean, you can’t stay the same all the while. You have to constantly change and update, and tweak your character a little bit to keep yourself fresh and relevant.
And that’s something we’ve been very good at. Whether it is — you know, when I was doing ‘One Half of the Hardy Boys’ Matt Hardy, Matt Hardy Version One, I was Big Money Matt, I was Broken Matt Hardy.
I’ve changed things here and there. And at the essence, at your core you’re still Matt Hardy. But it’s always important to consistently change and update yourself.”
The Hardys have shown an interest in returning to WWE for another run at some point, but it seems as if they are content to stay in TNA for now.
