Matt Hardy Lifts Lid On Recent WWE Meeting
Matt Hardy and his brother Jeff recently met with WWE.
Matt and Jeff Hardy are one of the most famous tag teams of all time largely thanks to their spells with WWE. From breaking into the company in the mid-90s to becoming Superstars in the Attitude Era and beyond, their legend was created in WWE.
So naturally, when they both became free agents after runs with AEW, they were immediately linked with a return to the sports entertainment giant.
To add further fuel to the fire, it was recently reported that The Hardys attended a meeting with WWE during SummerSlam weekend.
Matt Hardy Confirms WWE Meeting
Speaking on a recent episode of his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the veteran confirmed he and his brother met with WWE. Hardy added that it was to shoot some media for the company that will be used in the coming months.
“We get on that plane, we get to Cleveland, as soon as we get to Cleveland, we were met by a WWE driver who picked us up to take us to the WWE TV hotel where we went and recorded some media, some digital for those guys which is going to air on some of their platforms coming up in the future.
It was very cool, it was very cool to interact with a lot of the guys. We walked in, very first person we saw was Jey Uso which was cool. Saw a couple of the other boys, saw some of the office.
We got some really neat stuff that’s going to be coming out on WWE digital over the course of probably the next three, four, five months.”
Although Matt and Jeff Hardy are currently appearing for TNA, they aren’t under contract and have suggested they could leave for the right opportunity.
