Matt Hardy Confirms Plans For WWE Return
Matt Hardy has given an update on the future of The Hardys.
At NXT Roadblock, Matt and Jeff Hardy successfully defended their TNA World Tag Team Titles against Faxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom).
While Axiom bounced around the ring at their usual breakneck speed, The Hardys used every ounce of their experience to try and take control. When all was said and done, the veterans grabbed the win after Matt hit a Twist of Fate on Axiom before Jeff followed up with a Swanton Bomb.
After the match, The Hardys hinted they’d love to face the duo again, but this time for the NXT Tag Team Titles, and it seems that match might be very much on the table.
Matt Hardy Will Be Back With WWE
Speaking on the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt reflected on the match against Frazer and Axiom, and he was quick to praise the NXT stars.
I like Fraxiom. It was our first time touching and considering that was our first time getting in the ring and wrestling a match, I was really, really happy with it. I thought it was solid all the way through and I thought it was a hell of a first match to have.
Although he stopped short of giving any details, Hardy added that there are plans for him and Jeff to work with WWE again in the future.
Yes. I do think we would want to run it back (with Fraxiom). As of right now, our little run with NXT is wrapped. We do have some stuff on our schedule to do with WWE a little later down the road. Nothing specifically with NXT yet but… just stuff. I’m gonna leave it at that right now. We have stuff lined up with WWE so…
Back in October, it was reported that The Hardys were heading for a run on the main roster in the spring or summer. Before looking too far ahead, next up for Jeff Hardy is a date with Moose at TNA Sacrifice on March 14. At the event, Hardy will challenge Moose for the X-Division Championship in a Ladder Match.
