Matt Hardy Comments On AEW All Out Media Scrum Backstage Situation
Matt Hardy has offered up his thoughts on the recent drama in AEW.
AEW star, Matt Hardy took to his ‘Extreme Life of Matt Hardy‘ podcast to discuss the topic that’s on everyone’s mind in the world of professional wrestling, the brawl between CM Punk and The Elite at All Out.
“It certainly took people by surprise. Especially because we did a complete refresh on the Dynamite that followed because we reset our champions. I thought Tony Khan did a good job reshuffling the deck and giving a great Dynamite. It’s going to be interesting to see what the ratings are going to be. I imagine, because there was so much buzz on AEW all week, and buzz is buzz. it makes a lot of people want to tune into AEW. I’m very curious as to what the numbers are. Fortunately, it was a great show too.”
During the All Out pay-per-view’s post-show media scrum, AEW World Champion, CM Punk decided to air his grievances with some of his colleagues, most notably Kenny Omega, Matt, and Nick Jackson of The Elite. Following Punk’s remarks, a brawl broke out between the four men, which also included several personnel and on-screen talent in the form of Punk’s close friend and AEW Producer, Ace Steel, as well as Michael Nakazawa, Christopher Daniels, Brandon Cutler, and Pat Buck.
It was recently reported that Punk suffered a major injury during his main event match with Jon Moxley at All Out, which was perhaps aggravated during the post-show scuffle. More on Punk’s status with the company as well as his injury can be found by clicking here.
