Matt Cardona Reacts To Chelsea Green Title Win On WWE SmackDown
Chelsea Green is the new Women’s United Champion!
On the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, Green locked horns with Giulia for the title. The bout ended within a minute after the new champion used her heel work to roll the Japanese star and pin her for the victory.
It was controversial, but the Hot Mess got the job done! Her husband and former WWE Superstar, Matt Cardona, took to social media to celebrate the victory.
He claimed to be one-half of the Women’s United States Champion, a play on the fact that Green and Cardona are married. They tied the knot in 2021.

The Hot Mess may have been picked to represent the Women’s United States Championship over Giulia to help make the title more visible within the industry.
Matt Cardona can potentially enter the ‘Last Time Is Now’ tournament
John Cena’s final opponent is being decided via a ‘Last Time Is Now’ tournament. So far, Damian Priest, Rusev, Shinsuke Nakamura, Sheamus, Jey Uso, The Miz, and LA Knight have been announced for it.
The first two matches will take place on the upcoming episode of WWE RAW.
Interestingly, two spots will be given to wrestlers outside WWE. Matt Cardona’s name has been speculated, considering Cena named-dropped him during his promo ahead of Night of Champions 2025.
