Matt Cardona shared an interesting video on social media where he made a comment, which could have been a joke, about a possible return to WWE.

When it comes to comments made by Matt Cardona about his wrestling future, you never really know when he’s serious or if he’s joking.

Following 15-year run in WWE from 2005 to 2020, Matt Cardona’s run as Zack Ryder ended, and ever since then, he has thrived as the “King of the Indies.” Cardona has been a major success on the independent wrestling scene while also working for companies like the NWA, IMPACT Wrestling and GCW among others.

Recently, Cardona was also backstage at a WWE show to support his wife Chelsea Green, who became a WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. Cardona has since joked about how he’s one half of one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions since he splits everything with his wife.

Matt Cardona posts a video about how he needs to go back to WWE

Following a match at GCW Crushed Up on September 10th, a frustrated Cardona filmed himself walking in the rain saying he had enough of the indies and wanted to go back to WWE with a special message for Vince McMahon.

“People want to know what it’s like to be The Deathmatch King, The Indy God. I don’t know if you can tell, it’s f**king raining. Just finished the show, GCW in Brooklyn, I’m walking to my car that I’m hoping has not been towed in the rain. I wish you could see this. It is. It’s raining. Unbelievable. I need to go back to New York. I need to go back to WWE. Vince, call me, pal.”

As always with Cardona, his comments were likely made in a joking manner, but with him, you never really know.
