Massive Shock WWE Title Switch On Raw

A huge shock title switch took place on WWE Raw leaving a huge match at WrestleMania 41 now off and a major star without a path to the biggest show of the year.

Jey Uso called his shot for the World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther at WrestleMania 41 after Uso won the Royal Rumble. Charlotte Flair also called her shot for WrestleMania after she became the first woman to win two Rumbles in WWE history.

That left two champions without opponents until the Elimination Chamber took place. Bianca Belair won the Chamber to earn a Women’s World Title shot while John Cena booked his final WrestleMania place against WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. John Cena then shocked the world as he turned heel and left Rhodes bleeding, joining forces with The Rock.

Rhea Ripley Loses WWE Championship

However, Belair’s opponent was still unknown as Rhea Ripley put her Women’s World Championship on the line against IYO SKY on the March 3 edition of Raw. For months a huge match between Ripley and Belair at WrestleMania had been rumoured but that now won’t be happening.

With Bianca Belair watching from ringside, a distraction from The EST ended up allowing IYO SKY to defeat Rhea Ripley to win the Women’s World Title and become a WWE Grand Slam champion in the process.

Bianca Belair will now challenge IYO SKY for the gold at WrestleMania 41 while Rhea Ripley’s path to the biggest show of the year is now up in the air.
