Massive NXT vs. TNA Steel Cage Match Made

The war between TNA and NXT is about to reach new heights in a solid steel cage.

WWE and TNA have been in partnership throughout 2025 as the two sides trade talent back and forth. That saw Joe Hendry appear as Randy Orton’s surprise opponent at WrestleMania 41, as well as Trick Williams becoming TNA World Champion and Jacy Jayne holding the TNA Knockouts Title.

But in recent months, the spirit of cooperation has evaporated completely between the two rosters.

A TNA invasion of NXT turned into a special Showdown that saw the rosters face off in a series of matches. With no decisive winner of the night, the bad blood had continued.

An NXT invasion of TNA saw Lexis King make a failed attempt to set the TNA logo in the ring on fire. TNA’s Director of Authority Santino Marella ended up knocked out by NXT’s Stacks Lorenzo. Lorenzo is, of course, Marella’s future son-in-law through his relationship with Arianna Grace.

Now, as the two sides look to exert their dominance, a huge steel cage match has been made. The eclectic team of Stacks, Lexis King, Brooks Jensen, Tyriek, and Tyson will represent NXT in the bout set to take place on the December 18th edition of Impact.

Those five men will go up against former TNA World Champions Mike Santana, Steve Maclin, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, as well as Matt Cardona.

TNA will make the move to AMC in January 2026 as a new era for the company is about to begin.
