Massive Legend Will Never Wrestle In WWE Again
A WWE Hall of Famer is open for one more match, but it will never happen in the Stamford-based company for a major reason.
Jerry “The King” Lawler has had a legendary career in the ring and as a color commentator. However, the 76-year-old has stepped away from the squared circle amid his health struggles.
The WWE legend recently suffered a stroke that left him color blind. Nevertheless, The King disclosed in an interview with News 5 that he was open to wrestling one more match. The multi-time heavyweight champion last competed in 2023 when he defeated The Beer City Bruiser at an AML event.
The King’s not quite back in the ring… but I’ve not put it out of my mind. One more match… in there… somewhere.
Jerry Lawler Will Never Get Medically Cleared In WWE
Sean Ross Sapp recently reported on Jerry Lawler’s situation on Fightful Select. According to a WWE source, there is a “zero percent chance” the company would clear him to compete again. Hence, his in-ring return would have to be outside WWE.
The WWE Hall of Famer last wrestled in the promotion on the September 10, 2012, episode of Monday Night RAW. He teamed up with Randy Orton to defeat CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler. Shortly after the match, Lawler collapsed on the show. It was later announced that he had suffered a legitimate heart attack.
