After taking a break from WWE due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Roman Reigns returned to the company in stunning style at SummerSlam 2020 by attacking Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman.
On the following episode of SmackDown, Reigns joined forces with Paul Heyman, fully cementing his heel turn. At Payback, Reigns won the Universal Championship — a title he still holds.
Following the news that Paul Heyman will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, the veteran sat down with the New York Post to reflect on his career and goals for the future.
While discussing his partnership with Reigns, Heyman said the aim was to create something that would stand up against the best television ever made.

Meanwhile, John Cena recently said that Roman Reigns is one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time. The wrestler-turned-Hollywood star said Reigns had “taken the business to heights it’s never been before.”
John Cena last shared the ring with Reigns on the December 30th, 2022 episode of SmackDown when he teamed with Kevin Owens to defeat the Tribal Chief and Sami Zayn.
