The brackets are out for the AEW Men’s Owen Hart Cup tournament, which has a huge reward for the winner.

It was in 2022 when AEW started doing the Men’s and Women’s Owen Hart Cup tournament. For the first two years, the winners received a championship title and a trophy, but that was it.

In 2024, the reward changed because instead of just winning a trophy, the winners were given World Title shots at the biggest AEW show of the year, All In.

At AEW All In 2024, Bryan Danielson beat Swerve Strickland in the main event to become the AEW World Champion for the first time. The Women’s Owen Hart Cup tournament winner, Mariah May also became a champion by defeating Toni Storm to win the AEW Women’s World Title at All In.

Over the past several weeks, several big name AEW wrestlers like Will Ospreay and “Hangman” Adam Page made it clear that they wanted to be in the Men’s Owen Hart Cup tournament this year because they want that World Title shot at All In Texas on July 12th.

Will Ospreay Leads The Field For AEW Men’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament

Jay White was originally going to be in the AEW Men’s Owen Hart Cup tournament, but it was announced that he was attacked by the Death Riders group, so he was injured and not in the tournament.

The brackets were officially announced by AEW during Dynamite in Peoria, Illinois. The brackets look like this:

* Will Ospreay vs. Kevin Knight (replaces Jay White, who was injured)

* Brody King vs. Konosuke Takeshita

* Mark Briscoe vs. Kyle Fletcher

* “Hangman” Adam Page vs. Wild Card

The only former AEW World Champion in the field is “Hangman” Adam Page. Others in the match have held titles like Will Ospreay and Konosuke Takeshita, but not the AEW World Title.

The tournament starts this Sunday at Dynasty and the finals are at AEW Double or Nothing on May 25th.

After Will Ospreay and Kevin Knight won a tag team match on Dynamite, they were informed that their match in the Owen Cup will take place at AEW Dynasty.
